Search for the Tear of Ashi.

There's a very simple way to find the Tear of Ashi and other quest artifacts: just click on the inconspicuous arrow in the lower left corner of the **minimap**. A window with a map will appear, where active quests will be displayed with golden stars.
That's how I found the shards of the Shanti-I-Tiel disk, and then the Tear of Ashi.
However, this only works in campaigns, probably not in multiplayer.
