Very long game, terrible map. I can't complain about the layout, but it's very awkward and lengthy. My opponent and I took secondary heroes synchronously only on turn 127. On my respawn and the neighboring one, I took 11 crypts in total (a record), but none of them were maximum: only one was near-maximum, the rest were medium and small.
The start was very positive – bowmen built, a monk external dwelling immediately appeared, a Dragon Fly Hive next to the castle, a stable, on turn 112 a prison with Adela and 7 bowmen as a bonus.
By the end of the first week: horses in the castle, a +2 defense shield (which I beat off a horde of dogs with almost no losses), tactics, earth magic, 10K+ gold from crypts, a marksmen external dwelling, a Naga Bank, a Griffin Conservatory. I stupidly forgot to upgrade two horses at the stable and foolishly lost them to gogs. I was tearing my hair out... Also hired Gunnar at the tavern. I thought about switching to him, but Valya kept getting the right skills one after another.
The second week was just awful – all fights were clean, but the logistician in me died in this game. Two or three times I forgot to pass the shield to Valya, the idiots run away from me with the army, Valya without it, I spent ages figuring out where to go and in the end missed a lot. As a result, only by the end of the week in almost the opposite corner on turn 127 did I take an elven secondary town, where I built a guild and left Valya to replenish mana. At the very end of the week, I hire Kyrre. Two idiot logisticians amused me ) I find the entrance to the underground, enter with Gunnar, see a block of champion stacks guarding a cartographer and a scroll, and decide that GSC has gone crazy and this is the treasure zone.
On weeks 3 and part of 4, I was gathering an army from all corners of the map, Gunnar clearing the respawn. The respawn turned out to be simply huge, taking up almost half the map. Gunnar found and took a level-2 Griffin Conservatory, Valya took a level-3 Conservatory, a Naga Bank, and with the finally reunited army headed for the so-called "treasure zone", which turned out to be a secondary town. We've been playing for 9 hours and I didn't feel like running through the secondary town, although tactically it would have been more justified. I force my way through GO consisting of 61 Efreet Sultans. Forgot they have Fire Shield and stupidly lost two more horses. Without replenishing mana, I rush straight to the opponent, find Ivor short of the castle, and attack, counting on an advantage. I miscalculated badly, because Ivor had twice as much meat, two dozen wyverns, over a hundred elven archers, 25 upgraded horned horses against my 120 upgraded archers, 12 horses, 5 angels, and a little meat.
In short, I continue to be stupid and learn from my mistakes ) This is probably my 4th or 5th game brought to a logical conclusion )
Kolya, thanks for the game! The rematch will happen! ))
