Waited a long time for the game - couldn't properly start for 2 days. Either we were restarting, or real life called, or GO wasn't on the way, or there were terrible connection issues. We started.
I took starting Rizza hoping to switch to someone more capable later. In the end, there were no resource issues anyway - by the end of week 1, day 1, I already have everything for nagas. I scout the gremlin external dwelling, rejoice. Deessa arrives, I rejoice even more. Things become less rosy from here. My scout poorly explores the eastern part of the respawn and I mistake a lot of griffins for respawn guards; it later turned out they were guarding three resources. I run the other way, waste a day going around a block of a lot of greater basilisks, take a minimal crypt. I poke into the secondary zone, the passage guard - sharpshooters and a lot of blue elementals. I chicken out of attacking, return to the eastern side of the respawn, take a near-minimal crypt, kill the griffins, scout two naga banks and a medusa dwelling.
Week 1, day 6 - through frantic money-managing dances, the nagas finally get built in the citadel
Week 1, day 7 - Deessa is level 7, Air, Tactics, Earth, Armorer, Expert Logistics. Both naga banks are scouted: the second one is a minimal one, and the medusa dwelling is also scouted. I immediately decide to take the medusa dwelling on day 2, week 2 with what I have, then buy units and take the minimal naga bank. Things seem okay. But the positive moments end here, and the disappointments begin ) I have a terrible money problem - 1500 short for the castle. I break through with Deessa through a lot of greater orcs, pick up a chest. 1000 gold. Bummer - still not enough. I start sweating. I scour the map and scout another chest. I send a hero from the other side of the map and barely reach the chest on my last movement points. I was about to rejoice, but there - a Ring of Life instead of gold. No more money within reach. A major disappointment. But this is just the beginning ) I send the hero to scout around, and then I see Tazar standing on the passage to my secondary zone from the swamp! I'm surprised... I think for a second... Conclusion - the opponent has a very close native respawn (disappointment)... or he's a cheater (joking) I get upset: Deessa isn't ready for battle, the army is weak, the chain is mediocre. I was counting on buying later and leveling combat skills. I hope the opponent won't chase me onto the snow (he can't see the path), and I'll have time to get money and buy.
I end my turn and start quietly crying - the opponent bursts into my respawn, takes the medusa dwelling I was planning to clear on my next turn along with the naga bank, and stops near Deessa. In a panic, I surrender all resources, barely buy out part of the army, barely build a chain to Deessa, and rush into the minimal naga bank. A upgraded stack, I don't manage to pull the goblins back and almost the entire army gets hit by the nagas while shielding the master gremlins from the strike. 90 gremlins and 2 nagas remain. 4000 gold, but no free heroes, Deessa has no army. On top of that, I blocked Deessa's retreat path home with my heroes. I even realized the option of accepting battle in the castle ) I don't really feel like playing further, the advantage is obvious, but the castle is 1 day away and I decide to let the opponent finish me off completely )
Just for fun, on day 2, week 2, I attack Tazar. He has 11 wyverns, 8 basilisk wasps, about three dozen lizardmen, and meat shields. Naturally, Deessa with 90 master gremlins and two nagas immediately takes a beating and flees. Then the opponent kills 2 of my heroes on the way to the castle, and for some reason I also flee with them. I don't find Deessa in the tavern, of course, realize my mistake, laugh. I sell everything and buy what I can, accept the battle.
Thanks for the game!
