I did it this way because I didn't provide an exact date for the game's launch: someone might not have time to sign up and would be upset. Let them register earlier to be sure they get a spot. After all, only I know about the registration. If they change their mind, I can cancel it. The complete list will be available in the game anyway. No problems should arise...
