The longer they delay, the more peaceful roles become known, the higher the risk that the killers will find this small organization, and the more statuses are verified and city players are identified. I see absolutely no reason to block your own player to clear them, while at the same time sitting around and not killing; waiting for a psychotic city player or a scarred player to find them.
