Previously in the thread, it was suggested to make the starting resources completely customizable, which is obviously much more versatile.

I could probably create a 200% / 2500 patch for 2.98.
But I don't want to delay the release of 3.0. The next release after 3.0 can be made with customizable resources. Regarding funding: when I have some progress on the starting resources, then we can talk about funding.
How much time is left until the release? I won't say. It's not about the complexity of the work, but about the availability of free time for it.
