I don't know, I solved this problem right away.
It's easier to fight a battle and immediately exit to the main menu to check if it's still there. They were in the campaign, but essentially only there.
I finished the campaign, and AA was gone, I almost cried. I wanted to finish the campaign and immediately see how good AA is (I played with Arachne).
