My vote goes to Ashan. Reasons:
1) In my opinion, Ubisoft's only problem from the very beginning was that they chose their own path instead of continuing the Might and Magic 1-9, Heroes 1-4 storyline. This alienated all fans of the old games.
2) Frankly, I think the "Super Civilization" is an unjustified plot device, and all this high-tech stuff makes me feel nauseous. Look at Ashan – it's simple and interesting: two Dragons, two Paths. Moreover, we still don't know how the conflict ended – maybe Urgash is sleeping in the center of the planet, and Ashan is isolated on the Moon? Or maybe they are still together? There's so much room for imagination, and there's always hope for something better.
3) Demons are not destroyed or locked away forever, as in Enroth/Axoth – another plus for Ubisoft, for giving all races a chance to exist.
4) The worlds of Might and Magic suffered... I don't know how to call it... To put it simply, let's look at the conflict between Archibald and Roland. Globally, the whole world was turned upside down because of power. And compare it to Isabella – she also turned the whole world upside down. But why? Because of her deceased husband. She wanted to do something – and she did. The heroes of Ashan are more human, more relatable, and that's a plus.
That's all, I think.
