- What are the drawbacks of Heroes 3? (What didn't you like about it?)

Heroes 3 is a great game and undoubtedly the best in its genre. Many compare it to chess, and I agree, except for one thing: in Heroes, luck plays a huge role, unlike chess. The only thing I didn't like is the weakness of the Fortress castle. Many will say that in skilled hands, the Fortress is a powerful force. I won't argue. Against the computer, any castle and any hero will work (the difference only manifests in the time it takes to complete the game). But against a live opponent, the Fortress is still out of balance (this is my opinion, proven in practice not only by me - we've been playing hot-seat for 4 years, and not once has a player starting with the Fortress won). Otherwise, everything is just great!
