it's all a matter of personal preference... in my opinion, a Warrior shouldn't have any magical skills (as I've already mentioned, it just clutters up an extra slot), and a Mage doesn't really need combat skills... but there are skills that are very important for both classes... I repeat - Warrior/Mage - it's a matter of personal preference, but you still need to be able to play well with both... and you can level up both so that they become incredibly powerful...
