If the poll is considered finished, the thread becomes a sub-clone of the Workshop. On the level of "there is a thread for discussing news related to Heroes 6, and user A created a news item for discussing a specific trailer." Or do you think such a thread wouldn't be touched? Ask not Zubr or Slonysh, ask neutral moderators. When there is a separate thread that includes all questions regarding news/videos/music/etc., all threads dedicated to a specific news item/video/song/etc. are considered their sub-clones, respectively.
