Yes, he expressed his constructive opinion in a somewhat rude manner towards some, but that doesn't mean he should be penalized with points for it.

Nay, what should the points be awarded for then? To engage in an argument with him? To ask him to tone it down?
Of course, one can turn a blind eye to all such posts, be lenient, etc. But everyone's patience has its limits.
