Ar, you know that I always come up with some kind of nonsense before the New Year, and you can't break the tradition.

This is not an excuse. And what does "always" mean? One or two times is not the same as "always." And this certainly doesn't give you an advantage over other possible GMs.

In general, it's not very good when newcomers on the forum dictate their rules to the old-timers; this needs to be corrected.

It's not very good when the old-timers use their "authority" and dictate rules to everyone else, automatically placing themselves above others.
Tox already expressed his desire and even posted a setting, so he should be the one running the Mafia game first.
Only two factors could prevent this:
1. He gives up his place.
2. He can't gather enough people for the game. Although he is ready to reduce the number.
