Heroes 6 - Discussion

I downloaded the archive, tried to run its contents, and immediately got a message saying that an error occurred and the application would be closed.

I had the same problem; I downloaded a repacked version of Heroes without a crack, and it ran normally.

Regarding Heroes in general... My impressions:
I've been playing since the first installment. In each part, I played and realized that with each new release, the heroes became more beautiful and vibrant. The musical score became almost the main event for me personally, because in each part, there is music that is close to me because of its melodiousness and beautiful echoes of previous parts of the series.
Regarding the 6th part, it's hard to say definitively whether it's "good" or "bad," whether it's been improved and reworked compared to other parts. As they say, "there's no accounting for taste," and this also applies to the heroes. Some people liked it, some didn't; it's everyone's business and a matter of personal preference, but the fact is that it has undergone changes. In my opinion, parts 3 and 5 are closer to my heart (and to many of you), and even more so part 5, probably because we were the developers! Russians have a broader, more beautiful, and more vibrant imagination; that's why the 1988 Olympics with the bear is still remembered all over the world!
The simplified 6th part will add more players from all over the world to online battles. Why is this being done? It's very simple: the heroes are undergoing a transition from a turn-based strategy to an online RPG version, similar to well-known games like Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, etc.
Again, these are just guesses
