While waiting for my DVD copy, I'd like to ask if the prologue matches the campaigns from the game's beta? If so, then I understand you; those campaigns were completely empty, although what can you expect from a beta or demo version?

That's exactly right. The two prologue missions, one Sanctuary mission, and one Free Tribes mission – all of this was in the beta. However, to avoid completely spoiling the interest in the release, I only played one prologue mission and the Sanctuary mission. But the prologue is still tedious to play. Although the quality is undoubtedly much better :).
