So what? Look at their position in the UEFA ranking. They only took second place because Serbia was playing poorly instead of playing properly, and Italy isn't in the best shape either.
Of course, this isn't a victory that will be remembered for a hundred years, but:
a) a victory is still a victory, especially after 4 lost matches... Now, Bulgaria + Estonia, at least it's something.
b) the game itself was good, with good combinations, and Aliyev is integrating into the team.
