It seems everyone respawned, I don't remember exactly. Both were given a tower by the AI. Having Crag is great. In the first few days, there weren't many blocks, except for the path to the wood mine, which started to worry me, but the wood was eventually found at the required rate on the respawn. However, ore let me down; I didn't find those mines on the 1st, the terrain was bad. No caches, cons, or hives.
When I descended into the underground, some 50+ gr kents that weren't bothering anyone somehow got in my way; I decided to raise exp :D and they wiped out 7 grands for me, and generally bled my army down to a minimum. Left with 4 bows and about 10 kents, I didn't attack the AI and returned to my respawn. I didn't start buying pegasi or wood, money was very tight, and I decided not to mess up the build-up, but then disaster struck from where it was least expected: despite the abundance of leprechauns, they weren't giving precious stones.
Meanwhile, the blues killed the tower on day 4.
On 116, I'm thinking whether to place a castle or a market; I have money and more places to collect from. 2 scouts are in promising darkness passages, the 3rd is aimed at a chest and back to ore. I have 2 ores without a mine, 9 precious stones. Crag is standing near 20+ gargoyles with 4 bows and 10 kents for a pile of precious stones. If I don't find stone, I'll go try to take them at my own risk. Anyway, I'm placing the castle, for luck.
117 - didn't find stone, couldn't reach ore, so I think I'm screwed. Instead of uniques, we're putting in dwarves :) total 1-5 in the castle and 5 heroes.
On the 2nd, Luna arrives; I immediately figure out where to open a second front. On 125, Crag and Luna each take a relic on 6 wyverns
127 - Crag got expert earth, off, armor, shooting, and log; Luna is lvl 6 with exp wizard and advanced fire standing before the box. Met with the blues.
They give me the castle village after killing a couple of losers; Crag takes Pandora on 5 Hooves and beats back a shield +3+3.
Next, to try and catch up on tempo, I enter the Dragon Utopia on 134. I have 12 wyverns, 6 gr horses, and various other fodder without wood. On the second round, having no striking stack and a shield for only 2 rounds, I get wiped to zero, left with 38 grands and 10 wood. Didn't kill 5 reds. I think that was a cool way to gain tempo.
I buy out Crag in a village near the Dragon Utopia, put wood on grade, and drag castle bows for fodder. We skip a turn; news arrives about a wipe over Pandora.
Then I finished off the dragons, they gave +6 all and same-water (K vody).
Thanks for the game.
