Doesn't disabling "Allow interruptions" in the settings while in "Full Screen" mode help?

The "Allow interruptions" checkbox is only available when the "Full Screen" checkbox is unchecked. So, is it impossible to have the game continue running even when the window is minimized while still being in full-screen mode?
