Secondary skills in Heroes 3.

The "Scout" skill wasn't mentioned at all; its effect is somewhat similar to "Logistics," which seems to be quite valued...
Does anyone actually take the "Scout" skill when it appears?
Or do magical movement abilities negate its value entirely?
