Doom almost wasn't listening and for some reason thought that there should definitely be a low, guttural growl. But doom with clean, heavy metal vocals, like this, is pleasant and doesn't weigh you down) Thanks!

Candlemass is exactly what you'd call canonical old-school doom. Their first album gave its name to the entire genre. The most canonical and well-known song is Solitude. Growling appeared later in death-doom and gothic-doom, although bands like My Dying Bride also have quite a bit of clean vocals, but of a more specific kind.
