Another Friday post. This time, more nonsense and less interesting info.
Two funny situations happened.
Monday of this week. I got up at four in the morning to catch the bus on time and get to Kyiv, and then to the university, so as not to be late for the first class. I did exactly that. Everything was going according to plan, then my roommate calls (he also went home, though he has a longer distance to travel) and asks me to meet him because he has heavy bags. Of course, I can't refuse—I agree. Instead of switching to the metro line leading to the station nearest to the university, I continue riding the "red" line to meet him. Initially, I intended to head straight to the uni upon arrival, but in reality, we went to the dormitory to unload. Time was short, we struggled to carry the bags; we didn't just have red stripes on our wrists, but blue ones. We decided to find a taxi since there was no time and it was heavy (the distance to the dorm was very short). He says 25 hryvnias, we say "ok," even though it's a strange price for such a short trip. Well, basically, he started taking a detour, and he wasn't allowed into the student campus territory. In the end, we just had to walk from the other side. He said, "well, I didn't manage to help you much," while pocketing the money. :smile04: Next, we quickly did our business at the dorm and ran. As we approached the entrance to the metro station, I tripped over... mm, I don't know how to call it correctly. Basically, some "elevation," like a continuous step. And if it weren't for my hands acting just in time, I would have hit my head against a heavy swinging door. I tripped in exactly the same way when entering the lecture hall for ecology. And most importantly, when we were returning home and crossing the road, my foot, at the edge, fell into a drainage grate. The funniest thing is—I didn't experience any emotions at all during the "fall," nor when I couldn't get my foot out (though it was quite unpleasant), despite the fact that I get very stressed over spiders and large insects getting into my room.

The second one happened while receiving scholarship cards. Basically, the point isn't that I had to stand for about an hour, if not more, in a very dense, slow-moving crowd, where I had to stand pressed with my entire body against some freshman girl in a skirt and high heels, who looked quite provocative (though I liked her short haircut, if considering that element separately). On one hand, standing in the "queue" was a bit tense; on the other, it turned into a small psychological experiment or analysis. First, natural bodily reactions are either very difficult to control or impossible. The second follows from the first—it sucks to be a girl in such situations. Well, I don't know, if I were a girl caught in such a crowd and if something hard and organic was pressing against me from behind, and generally my back merged with someone else's chest, I would either leave the queue or try to stand differently %)
I would find it disgusting. I'd probably be afraid to ride the metro, lol
Anyway, now for the main thing. I entered the hall, approached the people issuing those cards, and they told me, "Oops, we don't issue them without a copy of the passport and identification code." I couldn't make copies because the originals hadn't been returned to me yet after moving into the dorm. Then I thought and decided to do it differently—take the copies stored at the uni and make other copies from them. I arrived, and they told me "search for them yourself, over there." I search. I looked through everything once, then twice. "I can't find them," I tell her. She's a FRESHMAN WHO KNOWS NOTHING WHAT IS GOING ON. She looks herself. Oh! She can't find them either. She says that Zoya Petrovna probably took them. So I went to her and made the copies. I returned and got the card. My roommate and I were about to leave, we drank some tea and stood at the uni entrance, then he says to me, "let's go back for the class monitor and go home together." I agree, and we go and pass by an ATM. I'm like, "oh, let me check the card!" I couldn't find the slip with the PIN code (it later turned out that I lost it somewhere). I tried to remember the code by memory and... What do you think happened? The card was blocked and the ATM ate it, like "come to the bank to sort it out." I immediately understood what happened, and again just laughed a bit with my roommate.

Also, I went to PETROVKA. Generally, I thought that in the name "book market," the word "market" was a metaphor, and in fact, Petrovka was something like a large shopping complex, but, imagine that, it's actually a market. I found a decent little bookstore, and... Who am I kidding? A couple of anime boutiques or departments, I don't know what to call them more accurately. Yes, those are what I was looking for. A SMALL, just very SMALL selection. Moreover, 70% of the entire assortment is either Death Note themed or Naruto. I, of course, watched both, but I don't have a particular love for them. Surprisingly, I found nothing related to Gintama, although it's supposedly a fairly popular series outside of Japan. In the end, so as not to leave empty-handed, I bought myself a Soul Eater poster and a couple of large BADGES. The first one is clear—I'll hang it on the wall or somewhere else, but as for why I need the latter—I have no idea. In any case, not for a bag/clothes, they'll most likely just lie in a desk drawer.
I finished watching the anime last weekend, it's very good.
