There's some ambiguity and duality here. Tone down the emphasis on "favorite" templates; otherwise, you'll end up trying to combine everything at once, resulting in a choice that isn't really a choice. Furthermore, if the tournament includes a stage for discussing the rules, the decision to register for the tournament should logically be made after the rules are approved. In other words, the player should know exactly what and how things will be.
I was planning to play with the Tower. But what's the point of playing with templates you don't like?
