Yes, it’s clear that the appeal of Competitive Single-player (CSU) in Heroes is much less than that of Competitive Multiplayer (CMP), for example. Many players start, play a few times with two heroes, and then lose interest. Heroes will never become a mass-appeal game like football, but we need to find ways to engage players. Unfortunately, computer games are now associated with being a “nerd” and being lazy, unlike chess. I think that broadcasts with interesting commentary could help to change this perception.
