I skimmed through what was said above. Popularizing Heroes is the same as popularizing chess. I'll digress a bit now. While the USSR existed, chess flourished—numerous tournaments were held, and young people were massively attracted to it. It was held in high regard because the authorities back then needed something interesting to occupy people with. Chess is indeed an interesting game. Football and basketball are interesting too. Both of them made decent money in the USSR. But why is football raking in insane money now, while chess is left in the dust? Is it really about the authorities? No, it's about today's people's mentality. Who needs smart people in the country nowadays?! Well, okay, this could go on forever. But chess was attempted to be popularized in real life many times in our era, after the collapse of the USSR, over the course of about 10 years. In short, they found cool sponsors, etc., who had a huge desire to make chess on par with football and so on... Ahaha, and chess stumbled not against the authorities (so it turns out the authorities do need smart people after all?)) strangely enough, but against the will of the players themselves. Something like "we don't want to disgrace ourselves with advertising," the chess players said. The advertising there was indeed a bit off (shameful), but the commentator said everything would have worked out and chess would have flourished like in the USSR if not for the (leading!) chess players themselves. In short, in my opinion, if you want to promote Heroes, the advertising should be like condom ads—so that the Heroes players themselves feel shame) from being presented with such ads, but don't refuse to participate in them. The same goes for esports in general—meaning there should also be a sense of shame. But well, we want to promote Heroes. Well...... (I don't exactly remember how they wanted to advertise chess...). Anyway, such advertising simply cannot exist on the internet. Online advertising differs from real-world advertising specifically because in chess, the advertising was done by the people themselves! And here... what, the advertising will be the nicknames themselves? )) This doesn't mean we need to go out to the square with banners saying "Heroes3"... The fact that you're arguing there about which game to play—WT or SoD, holding tournaments... Yes, maybe you'll reach an agreement there,... eventually achieve promotion of Heroes to the Hall of Gaming Fame in a couple of years. But that won't be a revival, because only the same people will be playing. There won't be mass appeal like in Dota, LOL, SC2, or whatever else is super popular... CS. etc. It will just look like the last gasp of the Heroes players) We need something more serious, I think... what could it be?... How to make Heroes stand out from the mass of games on the internet?... -Tough question). The idea of shameful advertising leads me to think that the only thing that can help is fun streams with a live commentator, a funny one. But not on M, 200%, 2 min turn)) But on Jebus Cross, with balance at least, doesn't matter if it's WT or SoD, let people first get hooked on Heroes, and then decide what's better. Personally, I think WT is clearer. There are many cool guys on the WT chat) You'd have to sit streaming for at least 6 hours, talk into the mic about the finer points of your game, entertain the viewers... Who can pull that off? But anyone could sit and comment like that for money... good money. So, do we just need a sponsor?! A sponsor interested in popularizing Heroes 3. ..Yes... here everything is only about Heroes 3. But maybe they'll present us with something new—Heroes 6, huh? I haven't seen them yet. And then we'll all switch to Heroes 6 together?!
