and yes, you can carry two shields and four weapons there. Arrows are considered a weapon, meaning they are separate from the bow and crossbow. And you can also pick up weapons, as well as shields. I almost always take a one-handed sword and a shield. If I'm playing an archer, I also take a crossbow with bolts. If I'm playing a ranged unit, I might take a two-handed weapon or another quiver of arrows (archers can't buy a shield). If I'm playing a warrior, I buy a two-handed sword/axe and throwing spears/axes/javelins in addition to the sword and shield, and sometimes long spears from cavalry.
