There are many other things, but all these tricks usually reduce the speed of completing the map – that is, they work against the main goal of the game – to spend as little time as possible. Here, it's either speed or economy... And combining everything in one tournament, in my opinion, is not rational.
It depends on how you look at it. If a player tried to complete the map quickly but didn't succeed and ended up being very slow, then they ultimately get nothing. That's why the perks with skills and VDV_forever's mercury are introduced into the tournament as incentive prizes for those who couldn't complete the map fast enough. It is believed that otherwise, players in the last places might lose interest in the tournaments. That's why I have long suggested creating two leaderboards. One would only consider the rating without any "grails," showing only the players' skill in fulfilling the main condition of the tournament (whether it's a speedrun or something else). And the other leaderboard would reflect the total number of "grails" earned by players anywhere. But apparently, the "meat and flies" will remain in the same blender
