They definitely dominate when combined. But it's unclear... WHERE IS THE HP?! Medkits are used, but the body damage indicators don't change, and what do they even affect?

The medkit heals about 30, and it's distributed evenly across the body, which is why you don't notice the increase. And it simply affects things - you can't run with one leg, you crawl without legs, you can't lift boxes with one arm and you shoot worse with a two-handed weapon (or you can't shoot at all, I don't remember), without arms - you can't shoot at all, but you can eat chocolate bars :) 0 HP in the torso/head - death.
