If the Rus' and the Tatars fought each other on this battlefield, then why did they later exchange embassies and sit down to feast together? :D
Was it the Blue Horde, perhaps?
Ah, on one side were the Crusaders, and on the other, the Tatars. But the Crusaders were spreading their faith. And the Tatars allowed people to worship their own gods and sleep peacefully – as long as they paid tribute.
