Yes. It was stated from the beginning that it wouldn't work. This isn't a bug in the mod, but rather a bug in the Warlords scripts, which aren't designed for 6-8 heroes. You can access the menu by entering a hero and clicking on their portrait there. :)
Damn, I was playing with Dubrovin, I should have split up instead of staying together, but I couldn't. I ended up deleting the heroes, which slowed down the tempo and ultimately decided the game.
