I will present my more detailed opinion (compared to the first message). 1. Rangers are better for clearing the map at the beginning of the game and possibly in a general battle if it is the only one. Assassins are better for defending cities and in a field army that is going on a long campaign. 2. For clearing the map of slow monsters alone or almost alone, a Fury is better (initiative is the most important thing), but in serious battles, Megeras are preferable. 3. I build and buy Minotaurs last, so I haven't really figured them out. Most people prefer Guardians. 4. Dark Riders are clearly better. 5. Cave Hydras are stronger. 6. In small numbers, Night Lords are better, but their shooting is not very effective. In large numbers, Shadow Lords can be sent into melee combat; according to their parameters, they are stronger. 7. In most cases, Black Dragons are better: magical defense is more useful than burning. Red Dragons may be better against Barbarians, as well as Knights and Elves who have only studied light magic.
