As for entering the Castle to hire troops – I didn't hire anyone for the first 4 months :smile21: – I only used resurrected undead and used the cities only as teleportation points for quick movement :o. Later, I started using the Orcish Castle to sell slaves (level 1 creatures that I got for free), and the Human Castle as a stable (although that wasn't very useful either – there's a stable nearby).
In the Silver Castle, I hired Titans for the first time through "call for reinforcements" shortly before the battle with the Orc hero. The second time, I also hired troops by summoning them before the battle with the Necromancer, and the third time – I already hired troops through the Castle before the final battle with the Human hero. By the way, I initially only used mages, Rakshasa, and Titans; I bought Golems and Goblins in the Castle only before the final battle so that the enemy would have something to do while they were being defeated :smile51:, and I didn't use Djinns and Gargoyles at all. In the Human and Orcish Castles, I only built the structures that generate money and resources.
By the way, the "Ring of Speed" threw me off – it was very well guarded by 1500 Manticores – I decided that this was the key to victory over the Outcasts, and I needed to urgently find scouts so that I could hide in time :smile28: (I already wrote about initiative).
