If Liz says there are twice as many townspeople as mafia, and there are currently 12 players (11 townspeople + 1 mafia), then there are 5 mafia, right? Or did he exaggerate?

Why, where's the logic? If there are 5 mafia, then there are 11-5=6 townspeople, but that's already twice as many, or approximately equal. Well, yes, I misspoke about the number of mafia being twice as many as (townspeople + mafia).
