HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

I installed HoMM3 HD 2.98 on two machines, and now we can't play over the network – neither creating nor joining games works. The server shows "sending data," but nothing happens on the client. Also, when creating a map in the random map settings window, the server doesn't recognize the random map settings, and the server doesn't see that a player has joined the game. The server doesn't receive messages from the client, even though the client sees messages from the server. Please advise what to do.
