He has both passive buffs (i.e., tactics) and active ones (blessings, shields, etc.). Having the most powerful morale, he always goes first (which is definitely an advantage). I was choosing between the Crusader and the Warlord. The Warlord gives a decent bonus (consider that he has leadership, which gives a morale bonus and +2 to morale for the "title" of Warlord. So, his troops will be "highly motivated." But on the other hand, playing for Life and having a second hero - a priest (as I usually do) - these bonuses become useless if the priest has the "General Zeal" spell. Therefore, the Crusader!!
