You will forgive me, of course, but have you been reading posts with your eyes closed or something? In the form in which the chess timer is currently presented (in the BT example), it is not acceptable for the game as a whole, because strategic battles are punished by time, when in essence they should be encouraged. There should be no time countdown in battles, which is why it is simpler to set any time in the SoD timer. If there were a chess timer with time stopping in battles — in my opinion, that would be the most optimal and liberal solution for everyone.
Believe it or not, but I actually thought you would pick at it after my first post. That's why I didn't want to write anything, but then I decided to go ahead anyway. A chess timer with time stopping in battles is also a rather curious alternative; it would also be interesting to try. I just don't quite understand why you consider the chess timer unacceptable if you haven't even tried playing with it? You remind me of a child who has gotten it into his head that he doesn't like drawing, though he has never once tried it in his life. Let's close this discussion — it's "about nothing."
