1. This is a very weak argument. The mafia will simply need to want to win.
2. I don't like this approach, as I wrote in my previous post.

Isn't it obvious? Bodyguard = blocker/defender. Goodness, there are so many options! For example, leave two blockers and two psychomafia killers alive, and then these killers will be blocked every night. And this is just the first ill-conceived idea that came to mind (i.e., it might be a mistake, but with proper consideration, which is still too early for, everything will be arranged anyway). Here's a rough draft of a stalemate, if it's so important to discuss everything so early.
It's also possible to do nothing, but, as can be seen from the above, there are more interesting options that are not officially "doing nothing."
Again, skipping turns is not necessary.
The mafia won't do that. There's nothing to argue about.
