Magic elementals are useful when you need to divert attention. Especially when defending. They are durable enough to withstand attacks, and if they do strike back, you'll be left wondering, "Who exactly did it hit?" Fairies are also useful; their growth rate is very high, and you can even match them in numbers against skeletons, and they easily defeat them. The skeletons can't retaliate. Ice and air elementals are self-explanatory... Archers are always needed, and these ones don't have a penalty in melee combat. Fight – or don't! Fire elementals are, in my opinion, the perfect balance of strength and speed. They can retreat and attack – everything a "core" unit needs is there. Earth elementals are tanks. Real tanks. Slow, stubborn, just like ents! They are very useful in defense. I already talked about magic elementals. And then there are phoenixes! With their growth rate and reincarnation, they can only do great things! Looking at it from a global perspective, they are even better than Chaos Dragons.
All of the above is just my opinion. I can advertise any city you want
