If Gill is Mafia, where was the Guard's Night Defense on the first night?

a) The Guard's Night Defense was on Arandore, the Priest was praying. "Peaceful" is not the same as "enlightened."
b) Both Night Defenses were on Arandore, just as they assume about Hos today. If you support the "Gill is the Guard, 100%" version, then you should agree that there were 2 defenses on Hos today.
So, there are options, and I'm not voting for Gill because I think he's either not the Guard or he's a psycho.

A question for Slonyash for clarification: if there were two defenses on one person, should the description somehow show that there were two, and not just one?
And yes, does the newspaper show Benjamin Rush hitting a target with immunity to block in any way? Or is it just silence?
