Yeah, the evidence regarding Mold and the person who shot him, John, is scarce. There are 4 possible pieces of evidence for the surgeon, and it's unclear which one to focus on, but I would prefer to focus on:

they seem to be constantly sitting there doing nothing.

, although I'm not sure. Among the psych patients, it seems that Gil or Ar must have been the one who killed him, and considering that the priest's conversation is 16th in the list, it's more likely that the psych patient is Gil. I need to think about it.
