And the land looks quite dull even in the screenshots.

It's the first map. Everyone started with grass and trees :). And as for the ally... only sworn enemies exist ;).

Regarding the difficulty: ALIENss, if you can complete a map, post it as is, even if you think it's too difficult ;).
