Judging by the topic, the bug issue is already in the final stages of being resolved, but at the recommendation of the tournament organizer where the bug occurred in my game with Mar, I'm posting here in hopes of getting help or at least advice from the highly respected baratorch.
We have quite a few piles of gold on our map, and when you hover the cursor over them, the information window displays them as piles of wood. They are named the same way when you right-click on them. When you try to take one of these gold-wood piles, the game crashes without any messages or delays. It's not a big deal for a single game – we decided not to take those unfortunate piles. But besides us, there are 6 AI opponents in the game. And on one dark and dreaded day of the match, a crash occurred during their turn.
The game persistently crashes on the AI's turn. Whether the blame lies with this buggy resource (perhaps the AI is trying to take it, since the crash occurs similarly to the one described above – instantly and without messages) or something else is unclear.
I don't think the HD mod has anything to do with this bug, but I hope for your help, baratorch.
I'm attaching a password-protected archive with the save file; I'll send the password in a private message.
I've fixed the save file – now, when you pick up one of these piles, it won't crash; the player will receive 0 wood. The password for the archive is the same.
Does anyone know if this bug is exclusive to Warlords, or does it also occur in the original game? This is important.
