The book is much better, by far.

What insightful things does Pelevin write? What is the most impressive thing you have taken away from his works? (These are just questions, I'm not really interested in discussing it.)

Regarding the topic:
The epic siege of Hogwarts didn't impress me, either at the beginning or later on. I mean, the premise was worth 100 rubles, but the battle itself was only worth a penny. It felt like a watered-down battle; there were no flying creatures, everyone was just walking around on the ground, and I was hoping for dragons, harpies, battles on broomsticks, and all of that in one package... Out of 5, I'd give it a 4. (I haven't read the book.)
