What else can I say? Maybe that you "proposed executing Rimpel from the start of the day"? How are you going to twist out of this one?

So, for those who just came into the thread, or who respectfully can't bring themselves to read two and a half dozen pages of verbiage, let me sum up.

Slonish.

All roles with protection:
- counselor;
- duke;
- chief;
- knight;
- thief;
- golem;
- mistress;
- dancer.

Not the chief, because the chief has already made his move.
Not the knight and not the thief for obvious reasons.
The duke wouldn't have pointed the shooter at himself, that's true.

That leaves two worlds and two mafia. Of course, artistic flourishes are artistic flourishes, but to me the newspaper text clearly says something about how the knight missed his target.

Conclusion: Slonik is the mistress or the dancer.

On top of that: if Tory is the counselor, then Slonish has a chance of being only the golem. If Tory was the duke and Slonish is the counselor, she can't be put in jail. If Slonish is the golem, an angel will free her.
Not a certainty, but interesting: "sacred wrath" is the name of the little newspaper, a meaningful name.

Totaled up, two main candidates for execution: Slonish and yesterday's Rimpel. Rimpel has been poisoned, which means if he's mafia he won't walk anyway, and he can be executed tomorrow, because if there's a chance to pop the dancer today, it's better to do it. No one will catch her until a whole bag of evidence piles up against her, and it won't pile up — she hasn't left a single piece of evidence so far. She has innate protection, she can be shielded by the mistress, she can use the crescent dance.

What's been happening in the thread for the last twenty pages? For the last twenty pages the thread has been a dispersion of votes between the first execution candidate, Slonish, and a randomly picked Naira chosen by Gil. The justification for executing Naira runs: "the mafia used the note-cancellation so the alchemist wouldn't report that she's a non-human (despite there being three non-human town roles)," and "the mafia blocked themselves."
Then Gil kind of deflated, because since then he's brought no arguments other than "trust my intuition," and out of spite switched his vote to Arandor, presumably for further dispersion or in hope of such an HW-player pattern as "execute Arandor." Right now they're collectively throwing their votes onto the archer-Rimpel, who can no longer be covered, but whose death will help the mafia win.

What does Gil propose in the end? He proposes hanging the useless Rimpel, proposing to leave the presumed Slonish-dancer alone — and the Slonish-dancer moves before everyone, and on the next night uses the crescent dance, and thereby we:
- hang a completely useless player today, presumably mafia, on the piece of evidence they so denied the previous day and made peace with on this one;
- take another kill from the mafia at night, or even two from the knight;
- won't be able to hang anyone at all the next day;
- lose.
