A small clarification.
Let's consider the following scenario:
Team 1 showed the following results:
2nd place (36 days), 5th place (62 days), 10th place (321 days).
Total places - 17, total days - 419.
Team 2 showed the following results:
3rd place (39 days), 8th place (69 days), 9th place (71 days).
Total places - 20, total days - 179.

According to the placement score, Team 1 is ahead, but according to the total days, Team 2 is ahead.

At first glance, I personally think that the option with the total days is slightly preferable. But this is just my opinion.
Please share your thoughts!

There is another possible scenario.
Let's assume there are only 2 teams (5 people each) and the results are:
The first four places are taken by Team 1 with the following results (in days): 5, 6, 7, 8.
The next five places are taken by Team 2 with the following results: 20, 31, 42, 53, 60.
And the last place is again taken by Team 1 with a result of 365.
Team 1 clearly has an advantage, but due to one player, they lose in terms of the total number of days.

In my opinion, the results should be summarized based on the average arithmetic of the placements.
Although, I don't know. There is again a duality here. An analysis of the specific case is needed.
