Warlock – “Expansion” [4th campaign, 2nd mission]

Could you please tell me how to complete the additional quest involving messengers? The problem is that if I leave any number of troops in the garrisons, the enemy goes to the weakest one and breaks through it. And then it's impossible to defend against the yellow player's army...
