Basically, I thought it would be just another piece of crap, as always.

For some reason, I think you didn't understand anything from that link.

However, it's still unclear how and where it blocks it, and why it blocks mine specifically.

It's blocked with a Firefox module, Adblock. It doesn't bother me, but it's annoying and distracting with its pointless flickering, so I just block it. You update it, and it reappears, so I have to block it again.
Is it clear now?
