Slohnish, you probably didn't notice that... the world setting is far from the "Marlezon Ballet," "Ilitiaavs," and other similar content. If I used the word "pub" to describe a cheap beer establishment where you can cause a ruckus, get completely drunk, and indulge in other pleasures, it doesn't mean what you thought it meant (although I didn't fully explain it). I think I clearly described the essence of the Viscount's character; apparently, it didn't register with you.
You forgot to nitpick about the fact that "Governor," "Viscount," and "Duke" are NOT the same thing!!
