Who are "they"? Aliens? :) Or the HW administration? Well, it's obvious that this isn't advertising! And, in my opinion, no other site has such a large, well-organized, and convenient collection of maps: more than 3000!
Essentially: sometimes, someone downloads a map, edits it for themselves, then forgets and uploads it somewhere else. It's important that players deal with the original! I think there was a discussion here about a case where someone distributed a game with already edited story campaigns! :( And then: for example, I care who made the map, when it was posted, and different versions are circulating on the Internet (like "First Blood"). This is a useful habit: when talking about something, name the source. Otherwise, everything turns into a game of "telephone"...
