Confirmed. Born underground, a bit short on money, but was inspired by two cons near the Castle (as it turned out, the opponent had nothing worse). Running around treasure zones, couldn't find Dimension Door for a long time, only built it in my home castle on the third attempt, while the opponent had been jumping for ages.

Overall, the mini confirmed its nastiness - cleared 4 treasure zones (3 of my own plus center), but in terms of stats it's equality at best (though the opponent has a stronger special), and even the output is 108 against 127.
