I get the exact same feeling. Every topic on HeroesWorld appears, and you show up, sticking your nose into every little hole like a cork. Is it a profession or a calling? Eeeevery topic. Or maybe it's a stance, "I won't give in, even though I'm a noob, but I'll snap back at everyone, I'll look better, no one here tells me what to do," and so on.
I don't get it. I don't even notice how, in any topic, I start talking about one thing, but I end up arguing with you!

Now. I'll try to convey the essence of the lost post.

No one is forcing you to switch to Skype. My posts are about new players who come here and usually don't have ICQ and don't want to have it, but have to "due to established traditions."

For a certain period of time, I didn't care, and neither did those who were used to it, but now I do.

I base these words on what experienced and strong Heroes players, whom I've spoken with, have said. These words of mine are based on their experience, not my own personal one.

Words remain just words, no matter who said them. And by believing an authoritative word without subjecting it to criticism, you don't come across as particularly smart either.

Well, they told you: "Yes R55, we are the strongest in the world." They are experienced players, skilled, undoubtedly. And you're like, "Yes, that's really the truth! So it is!" You just took it and believed it :D

So here's the thing: I am NOT saying our players are bad. I am saying that one cannot say that, as long as there is no serious competitive tournament system for Heroes 3 worldwide. Not until Korea, China, Canada, Australia, India, and the like participate.

But for that, we need: investment, the rights to own the game, the game to be popular and balanced, and good cash prizes. And naturally, it would be considered eSports. Which again is pure fantasy.

And as for what they said, (I don't know who told you), that's just their IMHO. Whether they liked it or not. De facto, it may very well be true; de jure, it's just personal ambitions and fantasies multiplied by personal ambitions and fantasies.

Have you yourself written even one letter to the Russian FCS? Show me at least one person who has contacted that organization? Try to fight for promotion, and maybe in about 4 years (if nothing works out), you can say it's a waste of time. Everything depends on activity.

And why would I need to? You're the one shouting about champions worldwide, not me. You write it. I don't need to hold a tournament to understand what it would achieve. What would 1 tournament achieve? Absolutely nothing. This requires a different approach, one that demands $ investment. I don't have those kinds of resources. If I were a sultan, I'd buy the rights to it, make a remake, enhance the AI tenfold, fix the balance, and promote it worldwide. And even then, IMHO, it's doomed to commercial failure, as it likely can't compete with other games that have fancy graphics; it would only be a gift for gourmets specializing in this and loving Heroes, still playing despite StarCraft 2 and the like.

For me, this game is lost and has no future. Games for fun, little tournaments on the website, that's its maximum, plus inter-portal with WCL, HP, HB. That's its limit. And every year, fewer and fewer people play it. There's almost no influx of new players; in the Newbie section, it's all damn clones who pretend to be newbies but draw such reports that it drives you crazy. I don't know what the gimmick is, to boost their ego or what? SoD is unbalanced to hell, the rules balancing it essentially made it a different game, not the developers' "classic" with the Necromancer's Cloak and diplomacy, but something completely different, only the name isn't WT, yet for some reason it's associated with the original. WT is also a different game. WoG is also a different game. WT + experience/tax is a WoG-like game, but again, different. WT is completely unpopular and choked up by Asm. It's all the same crap everywhere!
